Theraplay Family of Companies

Theraplay was founded in 1991 by physical therapist Lisa Mackell. Believing that children learn and develop best through play experiences, Theraplay provides their individualized therapy services in a functional, play-focused environment. The occupational, physical, speech and feeding therapy services we provide, along with concussion rehabilitation, early intervention and school services, have helped improve the lives of thousands of children and their families. Austill’s Educational Therapy Services, headquartered in Chester County, PA, joined the Theraplay family of companies in 2016. In 2017, Positive Steps Therapy and AOT, Inc., based in western Pennsylvania, and the Children’s Therapy Center, located in Virginia, were integrated into the family. Theraplay is looking forward to continuing to grow our geographic reach, furthering our mission to maximize each child’s potential through functional play-based therapies.

Recognized as a leader in providing pediatric therapy, together with feeding and concussion rehabilitation programs, we treat children from birth through age 21. Our staff works with each child, family and referring physician to determine which of our services will best meet each child’s needs.
